OMG! I want to see the rest of this outfit!!
Badly dressed dolls frustrate me. If a person is willing to spend large quantities of money ON the doll, why do they always skimp on the clothes and shoes?

Agreeing with a lot of people who’ve posted before - having some money doesn’t necessarily mean having infinite money, so by right of having just spent a lot on the doll, people don’t always have a lot of funds left to spend on the clothing right away.
I’ll also say that I don’t mind spending a good sum on the perfect outfit, but sometimes it’s really hard to find the right clothes. Some dolls are less demanding, but for some I have some pretty specific ideas for how I want them dressed. If I’m buying “not really what I want but I guess it will do for now” placeholder clothing, I’m more inclined to go with something inexpensive, rather than spending a whole lot on really nice clothes I don’t even want.
I can’t agree with this! Proportionally doll shoes can be fucking expensive. So can clothes. I don’t buy my dolls much of anything. I have enough clothes that they are all dressed and they can share shoes. It’s not like I take them all to places together. I like them to look nice when they leave the house, but that doesn’t mean they ALL have complete outfits! And they don’t NEED complete outfits. Hell- technically they don’t NEED clothes at all. It’s not like they’re going to die of exposure.
AND you know what? IT’S NOT YOUR BUSINESS WHAT OTHER PEOPLE’S DOLLS WEAR!
Current WIP. I bought some hot press watercolor paper because I like to ink my watercolors and I knew that would give me a smooth surface. But this is my first time of hot press watercolor. It’s going OK. The layers underneath tend to come up as you put paint on top so it’s slow work to build tones. I’m not sure if I’ll buy more or not. I have a cold press from this company too I want to try out. It’s called Fluid Watercolor Paper and it’s glued on two sides so your art stays flat! Which I like because I don’t wet and stretch my watercolors so they are all wrinkly. But Fluid comes in really weird sizes!
